A Valentine’s Day “We ❤ LH” luncheon hosted by the Lake Highlands Chamber of Commerce was a day for celebrating the people and businesses that make our neighborhood great. The sold-out event at the KayCee Club demonstrated the growing power of our business community.
Following a prayer from the Honorable Kenneth Sheets and a speech from Mayor Rawling’s chief of policy Scott Goldstein, the awards were presented.

- Small Business of the Year went to Artistik Edge for taking the plunge as the first business in the Town Center.
- Nonprofit of the Year was a tie between the Exchange Club for its generous scholarship program, and Feed Lake Highlands for taking care of our most vulnerable residents.

- Restaurant of the Year went to JJ’s Cafe for expanding into a catering and event center to keep special events in Lake Highlands.
- New Business of the Year was Shady’s Burgers and Brewhaha, which has hosted a wide range of fundraisers for local schools.
