Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 1, online.

There’s been an addition to this year’s event — wine. The event will also feature barbecue samples, beer, live music from 90s cover band Topanga and more activities. Neighbors who attend will be able to vote on the best pitmasters and meats and choose a “People’s Choice Champion.”

In its first year, White Rock Que drew 40 guests; now the event sells out with about 1,700 attendees. All proceeds from the event go toward the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center.

This year’s event will be held from 4 – 9 p.m. on Oct. 14 at Oak Highlands Brewery.
