Texas Women’s Foundation has announced actress and producer Storm Reid as the keynote speaker for the organization’s 38th Annual Luncheon next month.

Each year, the luncheon invests in women and girls through research, advocacy, grant-making and innovative programs. Last year, the organization put more than $7.1 million toward resources helping women.

The Emmy-nominated actress has starred in several film and TV projects, including Euphoria, The Last of Us, When they See Us, A Wrinkle in Time and more. Together with her mom, she founded A Seed & Wings Productions, an independent multimedia production house.

Reid was recently nominated for her role as Riley Abel in The Last of Us. She is also the founder of ArashiBlu, her swimwear collection, and ArashiBlu 1720 One Park at a Time, her parks initiative.

The luncheon’s co-chairs are Ashleigh Everett and Yolanda Garcia, and the event is sponsored by the Dallas Mavericks. The luncheon will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
