Kohl’s professional kicking camp issued McGough a score of 100 after he competed at their prestigious Scholarship Showcase in 2023. He earned 4.5 stars at their ranking event in March, scoring 111.6 points on kick offs and 8 points on field goals.

“He is a talented ball striker who commands his body well through contact,” Kohl’s evaluators shared on their website. “He has a lot going for him going into the season and is ready to continue his growth as a specialist.”

McGough is competing in online voting against 33 other outstanding kickers from high schools across Texas. The young men were nominated by fans via social media from schools including Highland Park, Southlake Carroll, Denton Guyer and Keller.
