Mommies in Need, the nonprofit providing resources and childcare to mothers and children in need, is now Annie’s Place.

In an announcement made on social media, the organization announced it is under the same name as the Parkland-based center, Annie’s Place, caring for children while their parents attend health appointments.

“We made the decision to refer to our entire organization as Annie’s Place, reflecting our expansion while staying rooted in our mission. Your unwavering support made this possible,” the post reads on Instagram.

In a January feature, Advocate reported on the start of Mommies in Need and the personal story behind Annie’s Place. Founder Natalie Boyle lost her friend, Annie, to cancer and named the center in her honor.

Since opening in 2020, Annie’s place has expanded to serve more patients, employees and children.
