Corinthian Sailing Club is being represented in this year’s Special Olympic World Games.
Robert “Bobby” Westlake joined the Corinthian Sailing Club in 2018 as a Unified partner, marking the beginning of his participation with Special Olympics. Unified Programs allow participants with and without disabilities to participate and compete in activities together.Â
Westlake is competing in sailing as a Unified partner with his teammate Tyler Dodson. The pair will be representing Special Olympics Texas with six other Texas participants. 46 states will be represented at the games and the US team will compete in 14 of the 26 available sporting events.
The Special Olympic World Games are being held in June 17-25 in Berlin. To show support for the USA team, encouragement can be left on their digital cheer card. Updates will be posted on the Special Olympics Texas team’s Facebook page.
