Experimental rock band Butthole Surfers will have its first five albums and two compilations available as digital and physical reissues under Matador Records.

Matador Records, an independent record label, made the announcement Wednesday, May 24. The album reissues include Psychic…Powerless…Another Man’s SacRembrandt PussyhorseLocust Abortion TechnicianHairway to Steven, and piouhgd.

Neighbors may recall frontman Gibby Haynes is a Lake Highlands High School grad and son of Mr. Peppermint, the children’s show presenter on WFAA decades ago. The Butthole Surfers also have a documentary in the works, as the Advocate reported in February 2022.

Shows filled with urine bombs, nudity and explicit films in the background of performances have kept The Surfers’ audience in awe.
