Hat Creek Burger Company, with a location on Walnut Hill at The Hill Shopping Center, announced it’s partnering with Foster Village, a Texas-based non-profit, to help foster homes struggling with everyday needs.

Through June 26, Hat Creek will sell the Giveback Burger, and $1 from each of these craft burgers — which feature two 100% natural all-beef patties with no hormones or antibiotics, creamy melted pepper jack cheese, three thick slices of fresh avocado, crispy pickles and tangy honey mustard on a warm and salty pretzel bun — will go to support Foster Village.

“Our goal has always been to deliver a fun place for fellowship with quality food, but we also realize that those good times can be harder to find when you don’t have stability at home,” Founder and President Drew Gressett said. “We know that every little bit helps and that’s what we’re aiming to do with the Giveback Burger. I mean, who wouldn’t want to eat a delicious burger while giving back to their fellow Texans?”

Dallas Cowboys All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons lent a hand to the campaign by working this week at the restaurant’s Coppell location.

Parsons says he’s teaming up with Hat Creek to raise awareness of the struggles for foster children and families across Texas, especially during National Foster Care Month.

“I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my family, so I’m proud to join Hat Creek in helping support children in foster care across Texas,” Parsons said. “It’s important for these children to have that base, so whether you’re a Cowboys fan or not, come try a Giveback Burger and help us help these kids.”

Foster Village Founder and CEO Chrystal Smith believes support for those experiencing foster care and foster homes is not top of mind, so she’s grateful for Hat Creek and Parsons helping her organization and raising awareness for National Foster Care Month.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d get someone like Micah Parsons to bring light to the work we do at Foster Village,” Smith said. “I can’t say enough about Hat Creek for their unwavering support and generosity. They get wanting to bring people together and by offering the Giveback Burger and getting Micah behind it, more people will be aware of the needs facing children in foster care and foster homes.”

Foster Village‘s mission is to come alongside children and families in the child welfare system across Texas and show them that they are not alone. “Our goal is to create opportunities for the community to be a village of support to these vulnerable and underserved children and families. Our programs aim to equip, connect, and advocate by meeting basic needs, providing therapeutic support, and promoting community awareness and engagement. Learn more here.
