6A State Champions.
The road trips are done. The nail-biter games are over. Lake Highlands High School will forever be home of the 2023 6A state basketball champions.
Now it’s time to party.
Lake Highlands will host a “Parade of Champions” along Church Road April 15. Joining the celebration will be state wrestling champion Fernanda Lopez, who claimed the medal at 114 lb. during the state tournament in February. She’ll be joined by her team, including junior Sarah Conner, who finished 3rd at 126 lb. to deliver an 8th place finish for LHHS.
The parade will kick off at 9 a.m. and run from the LHHS tennis courts to Wildcat Stadium. Attendees are encouraged wear their school colors and make signs in support of their favorite student athletes. Go Cats.

Coach Ty Williams, Sarah Conner, Fernanda Lopez and Coach Kevin Wainscott.
