The bathrooms near the Stone Tables at White Rock Lake were damaged last week when a driver ran into them.
A vehicle ran off East Lawther Drive, damaging some concrete bollards and the restrooms, which had recently been restored.
The incident occurred either late April 4 or early April 5, said District 9 Park and Recreation Board member Maria Hasbany, whose district includes White Rock Lake Park.
A police report has been filed, and the contractor who completed the recent restoration project is working on an estimate to repair the damage, Hasbany said. As of publication, no witnesses had come forward with information.
Hasbany said she hopes the police are able to track down the owner of the vehicle that crashed into the building so they can press charges and receive payment.
The restrooms, which are ADA-accessible, are now blocked off with red tape.
Along with the Stone Tables pavilion and picnic area, the restrooms were constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Local nonprofit White Rock Lake Conservancy raised funds to renovate and restore the area.
