The egg hunt took place at the Dixon Branch Greenbelt Park, between East Dallas and Lake Highlands, with more than 800 eggs for neighborhood toddlers and kids age 5 and up.

“The Easter Egg Hunt is one of our most beloved traditions here in Eastwood, and we were thrilled to see so many families come out to enjoy the festivities this year. It was heartwarming to see parents, guardians, and kids alike searching for eggs and enjoying the various activities we had to offer,” said President of the Eastwood Neighborhood Association Scooter Smith.

Adults could also get in on their own egg hunt, called Special Golden Eggs, with gold Easter eggs placed in higher locations out of kids’ reach. Inside were gift cards and other treats from local businesses.

El Portón, Dallas Arboretum, Walton’s Garden Center, White Rock Car Bath, El Vecino and Rooster Hardware each donated prizes for the hunt.

The day was also filled with Easter-themed corn hole, sidewalk chalk, bubbles and hula hoops. Nothing Bundt Cakes served bundtinis and El Portón served ice coffee. More than 100 neighbors and their families showed up.

“As the Block Captain Chair for our neighborhood association, I am thrilled to see such a great turnout at our annual Easter Egg hunt,” said former President and current Block Captain Chair of the Eastwood Neighborhood Association John Walls. “It is our responsibility to foster a strong and safe community, and events like this help us by strengthening relationships and building trust among neighbors.”
