A Lake Highlands home recently won an award after a bath remodel from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
The mid-century home, which was built in 1962, received the 2023 North Texas Contractor of the Year Award for Residential Bathroom over $100,000.
Kitchen Design Concepts designed and executed the primary bath remodel.
Some of the renovations to the primary bathroom included wood toned elements, included more shower floor space, more storage, the elimination of the bathtub, semi-privacy for the commode and a conversion to a tankless water heater, according to the press release.
“The spatial layout was very important in this project, and the first thing addressed during the design consultation,” said Rebecca Sutton, Kitchen Design Concepts residential designer.
The 174-square-foot suite was enlarged to encompass 192 square feet overall.
