Dallas takes the third spot in a list of 10 cities where millennials move, according to a study from SmartAsset. For those unfamiliar, a millennial is considered as anyone between the ages of 25 and 39.

Maybe it’s due to the sports teams, history and cool neighborhoods, like Lake Highlands. Maybe it’s something else entirely, like housing prices in general.

Either way, there were a reported 15,217 millennials moved here from out of state. However, there were 8,878 in that same age bracket who moved out of the city, according to the study and 2021 US Census data.

Austin, at no. 1, was the only other Texas city that made the top 10 spots. Fort Worth and Houston came in at 13 and 20 respectively.
