You’ve already seen Christmas trees at the big box stores, but the holiday season hasn’t truly arrived until Lake Highlands Junior Women’s League volunteers hosts Light Up the Highlands at the Lake Highlands Town Center.

Light Up the Highlands is always held Sunday afternoon after Thanksgiving, and volunteers have new attractions planned this year. They’ll host a Christmas Market to showcase small businesses in Lake Highlands, and they’ll hold a raffle, with two winners receiving Fast Passes to skip all lines at the event. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased via Venmo @LHJWL (preferred) or LHJWL’s PayPal until Nov. 14.

Light Up the Highlands features a snow luge, ice skating, live performances and an appearance by Santa and real reindeer. The Reverse Food Truck will collect donations, and the finale will be the lighting of the town center’s grand Christmas tree by Jolly Old St. Nick himself. Taco Diner will sell fajita packs to go for dinner after the fun.

The LH Town Center is at Walnut Hill and Skillman. Light Up the Highlands runs from 4-6 p.m. Nov. 27. Admission and parking are free.
