The Lake Highlands Family YMCA has been in store for an expansion with renovations temporarily paused on the center. The groundbreaking happens today.
This is the first installment in the YMCA’s multi-year strategic growth strategy.
District 10 Councilmember Adam McGough and YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas CEO Curt Hazelbaker will be on site at the groundbreaking, which starts at 5:30 p.m.
The 15,000 sq. ft. expansion will include several updates for members and visitors, including a new fitness center, basketball court, childcare room, locker and changing rooms, a new state-of-the-art cycling room and other facility improvements.
Lake Highlands Family YMCA is located at 8920 Stults Road.
