Neighbors are invited to sample barbecue, beer and more from 4 p.m.- 9 p.m. on Sept. 10 at Oak Highlands Brewery. There will also be live music from Remedy, Baldo’s ice cream and a chance to vote on the best barbecue for the coveted “People’s Choice Award.”

Something else White Rock Que can squeal about are the pit masters. This year’s pit masters include eight teams.

All of the proceeds from the event go toward the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center.

Tickets are $30 until Sept. 2, but don’t wait too long, the price increases to $40 starting Sept. 3.
