Picasso’s Pizza thrived for 30 years in Lake Highlands before closing in 2020, and now another Dallas legend is set to take their space at Skillman and Walnut Hill – Jake’s.

Jake’s has been the go-to for burgers and beer in Lake Highlands and East Dallas since 1985, and now they’re rolling out a sports bar concept called Jake’s Gameday. The renovated space will feature sports of all kinds on big screens, plus the delicious fare Jake’s loyalists have shared for generations.

Jake’s burgers are ordered by the number – from the #1 with Thousand Island dressing to the #8 Jalapeno Bottle Cap burger to the #22 Hot Cowboy to the #25 Patty Melt. Sure, some waist-watchers pick up a healthy salad, but if you didn’t get cheddar fries and tater tots, did you even have lunch at all?

You can check out their menu here.

Jake’s Gameday is expected to open in October. The Jake’s location at Skillman and Abrams will continue operating.

Coming soon Jake’s Gameday.
