Two women were found with gunshot wounds on the evening of Thursday, June 30.
The victims, a 19-year-old woman and 30-year-old woman, were found as Dallas police responded to a call at 11:50 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 9500 block of Wickersham Road.
Jamiah McCoy, the 19-year-old victim, was found on the ground outside the apartments and pronounced dead after Dallas Fire Rescue transported her to the hospital, according to police. The 30-year-old victim, who has not been identified, was also taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
