There’s more fun to be had this summer with the whole family. Instead of just a regular movie day with the kids, Alamo Drafthouse is bringing back interactive family parties starting this Saturday, July 2.

The movie kicking off the return will be the latest Minions release, Minions: The Rise of Gru. It follows Gru as a child in the 1970s on a mission toward becoming the “world’s greatest villain.” Gru’s loyal minions— the ubiquitous, yellow characters— are responsible for saving him from trouble.

Families can party before the movie starts with several immersive activities.

Themed games, crafts and more activities will be available for parents and kids at 12:15 p.m. in the Drafthouse lobby.

Tickets for the event are $15.97 for kids, $18.13 for adults and include the movie, a craft project, a hard hat and banana souvenir.

Alamo Drafthouse is located at 6770 Abrams Rd.
