Wondering what Dallas’ two favorite eagles have been up to? Now you can see them in live time without getting too close or even leaving home with Dallas Academy’s live stream of the new nest.
After the eagles, Nick and Nora, relocated last week when their nest was blown down a few weeks ago at Lake Highlands Park, locals were eager to keep up with their activity.
Nick and Nora’s original nest weighed an estimated 100 pounds with one egg recovered. According to the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, bald eagles typically construct their nests in mature or old-growth trees.
As The Advocate reported in another article, the eagles aren’t far from where they first set up and look to be repurposing another nest. Some neighbors even suggested nesting platforms for the eagles.
The livestream is on Facebook and can be viewed on Dallas Academy’s website here.
