As Black History Month wraps up, Dallas Public Library is hosting artist workshops at Lake Highlands area branches.

Artists William Toliver and Adriane McMillon, or Loosemedium, were scheduled to host painting workshops this week at Vickery Park and Skillman Southwestern libraries. However, uncertain winter weather has led to cancellations and early library closures.

Ebony Lewis’ painting workshops next week at Forest Green and Audelia Road libraries are still scheduled. Lewis is an artist living in Dallas with collaborations with DART, Neiman Marcus and Deep Ellum. She also participated in the Blues Alley murals in Deep Ellum.

Lewis’ workshop at Forest Green Library will be Wednesday, Mar. 2 at 5:30 p.m.. The second workshop will happen at Audelia Road Library on Thursday Mar. 3 at 5:30 p.m.

Pre-registration is required and can be found at this link for Forest Green and here for Audelia Road.
