The day of love and romance, Valentine’s Day, is creeping up on us right along with Super Bowl Sunday two days prior. Doesn’t it feel that way?

Sure, it may be a bit too late to book that romantic getaway right on or before Feb. 14, but that doesn’t mean you can’t spice up the day right here at home. Here are a few ideas to make that special someone in your life feel adored.

Eataly

Name a better pair than wine and cheese. At Eataly Dallas, there will be a 15 Shades of Red wine and cheese tasting on Thursday. there are still a few tickets left for the 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. slots.

Tickets are $65.

Haute Sweets Patisserie 

Sweeten the mood with some French-style macarons or something from the special Valentine’s Day menu.

If you’re going for the latter option, you can choose from a heart-shaped cheesecake, a box of chocolate bon bons, or a heart-shaped macaron.

Haute Sweets Patisserie has two Lake Highlands locations at Hillcrest Village and Lake Highlands Plaza.

PopPopcorn LH

Personalized popcorn bags are available for pre-order until Feb. 12. The shop also has a selection of Valentine Day cards and gifts available.

PopPopcorn is located in Lakeridge Village.

Eatzi’s 

At one of Eatzi’s three Dallas locations, there’s a Valentine’s Day menu to choose from. The menu includes edible gifts, like truffles, entrees, starters, desserts and sides. Orders need to be place by Feb. 13.

Fireside Pies

From Feb. 11 – 20, can choose to either dine-in or pick up one of three desserts. There’s berry lover’s pie, raspberry chocolate and cocoa brownie.
