By now, you might have noticed White Rock TX Nutrition on East Northwest Highway.
The shop is owned by couple Jesus and Maria Ojeda. They opened for business in August next door to Haute Sweets Patisserie and across the street from Rooster Hardware.
Inside, there’s a countertop bar lined with stools along the sides. It’s very dim aside from the light filtering in from outside and the lamps and counter lights. Faith and love filled signs decorate the counter.
White Rock TX Nutrition serves shakes, protein bars, teas and coffees, but they’re not filled with empty calories. The shakes have protein and work well for people looking to lose weight.
They even have a kids menu with superhero themed drinks.
“The drinks are customizable, just like at any other regular bar so we can cater to any of our customers,” Jesus says.

The sweet drinks are the most popular, especially if it’s tea, which is sweetened with Stevia like all their other products.
“Our teas are energetic teas. People ask for different flavors on teas and sweet flavor the most. We do have a variety of flavors from tart to sweet. A few favorites are the Miami vice, Bahama mama, Jamaica me happy and peach ring.”
As for the shakes, customers really like the cookies and cream, brownie batter and banana nut muffin shakes.
The coffees aren’t as popular, but they are also healthy with high protein and lower calories and sugar than regular coffee. They have cold and hot options as well as different styles of coffee, like floats, frappes and macchiatos.
Drinks are the shop’s main focus right now, but the Ojeda’s have plans to introduce other products soon.
“Besides the beverages, we do want to introduce crepes, waffles and pancakes, but that will be in the near future,” he says. “We want to focus on the drinks right now.”
They’re most active with announcements and promotions on social media and can be found on Facebook and Instagram.
White Rock TX Nutrition’s operating hours are 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 7 a.m. -7 p.m. Wednesday – Friday and 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Saturday. They’re closed on Sunday.
