RISD book fair
Richardson Council of PTAs volunteers will host their annual Used Book Fair Feb. 10-13 at the RISD Professional Development Center. Proceeds will fund scholarships for graduating seniors and district teachers and support local PTAs.
If you’d like to donate gently used books, check with the PTA at your neighborhood school. The Lake Highlands High School PTA will collect books Jan. 31 – Feb. 4 during morning drop off (before 9 a.m.) in front of the main entrance. You may also drop them off during the day in the main office foyer.
The PTA requests that you not donate damaged books, library discards, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, magazines, pamphlets, coloring books or comic books.
The book fair runs from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Feb. 10-12 and from noon to 6 on Feb. 13. The RISD Professional Development Center is at 701 W. Beltline (at Floyd). LHHS is at 9449 Church Road.
