“Just a message to make you aware that we have worked with Dallas Police this morning to investigate a rumor that has been shared by some students about a threat against the school,” wrote Burt. “Dallas Police have determined that the rumor is unsubstantiated and not credible. We appreciate our stakeholders who took the time to make us aware of the rumor, which is exactly what we ask our students to do if they hear anything related to school safety.”

Burt said her staff and students “look forward to a great day of teaching and learning and are operating today on a normal schedule.”
