Golden Chick is testing out their new plant-based chicken tenders at select locations, and one is nearby Lake Highlands.
The restaurant’s Beyond Meat chicken tenders are made of plant-based protein with no GMOs. There is no chicken in the tenders, but they come close to tasting like it with a breaded outside and tender inside mimicking the real thing.
The tenders can be ordered as a combo with four tenders, a roll, a side dish and drink for $9.59.
The Richardson based chain rolled out the new menu item on Monday, Nov. 8 and will be available until Jan. 2 at four different Dallas-Fort Worth locations. One of the locations is on Jupiter Road.
Golden Chick previously added boneless wings to their menu, but these plant-based tenders are the latest limited edition item added to the menu.
