Market in the Meadow, hosted by the Forest Meadow Junior High PTA, earns thousands of dollars for student programming each year, and the campus took a big hit when it was cancelled during the pandemic. Volunteers were all geared up to put on the market this fall, then COVID reared its ugly head again.
Organizers went back to the drawing board.
On Nov. 13, the FMJH PTA will host their first-ever Movie in the Meadow. The outdoor event will kick off the holiday season and be fun for all ages.
The event begins at 4:30 p.m., when the outdoor holiday market opens. There’ll be food trucks and games, then performances by school groups begin at 6:30. The evening culminates with an outdoor screening of Elf from 7 to 9. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
Movie tickets and raffle tickets are $5 each, but those-in-the-know will want the VIP Package. For $100, your group of six will get VIP seating, raffle ticket, popcorn, drinks and candy. Spots are limited.
Forest Meadow is at 9373 Whitehurst and Abrams. Tickets may be purchased online here.
