Halloween is over, which means it’s time to start gearing up for the holidays.
The Dallas Arboretum is bringing back its 12 Days of Christmas homes, Christmas Village and more. And this year, the garden is adding something new.
Neighbors will get to enjoy a 50-foot-tall musical tree with 42,000 lights and holiday songs.
That’s in addition to the more than 1 million lights that will shine in the evenings throughout the garden.
In the 12 Days of Christmas, there are 25-foot-tall Victorian-style gazebos representing each of the 12 days. And in the Christmas Village, each house is specifically designed for the garden. One house is for Santa, who will have a sleigh ready for photo opportunities.
Designer Michael Hamilton is decorating the DeGolyer House with the theme “The Artistry of the Nativity.”
All of this is in addition to the live music from schools, churches, community groups and professionals, a holiday vendor market and other programming.
