“Liberty’s Civil Rights Road Tour” comes out in October
The Episcopal Church of the Ascension Anti-Racism Task Force, in partnership with St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church and Lake Highlands Area Moms Against Racism, will kick off their “Race in America” distinguished lecture series tonight. Rev. Dr. Michael Waters, best-selling, national award-winning author, will lead the Zoom discussions.
Rev. Waters has appeared on NPR, ABC Nightline, PBS Newshour, VICE on HBO and NBC Nightly News among other national outlets, and he’s been featured in publications including the New York Times and Washington Post. His many honors include being named Peacemaker of the Year by the Dallas Peace and Justice Center.
