CO-OP was established by the department in 1996 to help introduce underrepresented audiences to environmental education, conservation and outdoor recreation.

Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation’s Summer Environmental Explorations camp is a four-day event that immerses Eagle Scholars in nature using hands-on lessons. The scholars take trips to state parks, learn from professionals and participate in aquatic science lessons, fossil hunting, kayaking, bird watching and hiking.
