A candlelight vigil will be held tomorrow in honor of Northeast DPD officer Mitchell Penton.

Penton, a 27-year-old officer who was on the force to two years, died after he was struck by a car while directing traffic on Central Expressway on Feb. 13.

The vigil will take place Friday, Feb. 19 at the Northeast Patrol Division located at 9915 Northwest Highway. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m., the program will start at 6 p.m. and the lighting of the candles will begin at 6:40 p.m.

All are welcome to attend the vigil and masks will be required.
