Over 400,000 residents are already on the wait list with only a few thousand doses available, according to a city press release. However, signing up is the initial step required to get an appointment as more vaccines become available.

Registration can be done at DallasCountyCovid.org or by calling 469-749-9900.

This week, the city received 5,000 doses of the vaccine from the State of Texas to distribute to eligible residents. Eligible residents include people in groups 1A and 1B, registered with Dallas County and invited by the City of Dallas to make an appointment.

Those eligible to receive an available vaccine from the city will receive a call from a 615-area code or a text from 34292 to confirm and schedule an appointment.
