Nonprofit The LifeSavers Foundation has named longtime neighborhood resident William Denton as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Richardson-based The LifeSavers Foundation rescues people in crisis through free mobile medical mission projects for women and children, and helps the entire community with goods from its resale store. In a Jan. 14 release, the nonprofit announced Denton as CEO.
Denton is a former health care executive and trained medical professional. He has served as a LifeSavers volunteer the past two years.
“William has the experience, talent, and commitment to help the Foundation expand its services,” said LifeSavers board chair Jody Mow in the release. “Under his leadership I know we will reach thousands more women and children each year.”
The Lake Highlands native has served in leadership roles at General Electric Healthcare Partners, Novia Strategies, Huron Consulting, Aruthur Andersen and Baylor University Medical Center.
“Over the past four years LifeSavers has increased the number of patient visits by an average of 20% to 25% per year and maintained our numbers during the coronavirus pandemic,” Denton said in the release. “It is my goal to continue to build on that growth so we can bring hope to parents with sick children who are without the financial means to access healthcare. We are working on expanding into Tarrant County where the need is also great.”
