The bridge on West Lawther Drive near White Rock Lake is reopen to traffic, according to the Dallas City Council District 9 Facebook page.
“The contractor is still working through a punch list of small items, but we are happy to report that the bridge is open,” according to the post.
Earlier this year, a structural engineer recommended replacing the bridge and leaving it closed to vehicular traffic after a gap appeared between the bridge deck and the steel girder.
It remained closed for months, making it difficult for drivers, cyclists and runners to travel around the area.
