SoPac Trail could see lighting improvements as a result of a newly approved agreement by the Dallas Park and Recreation Board.
A construction and maintenance agreement with Vickery Midtown Management Corporation was approved by the board Nov. 5 and allows for work on lighting improvements and enhanced maintenance on SoPac Trail from East Northwest Highway to just north of Greenville Avenue.
The trail was constructed by Dallas County in July 2018, and at the time, funding was not available for lighting. Until funding would become available, light pedestals were installed.
Enhanced maintenance to the trail may include mowing, trimming, litter removal and graffiti abatement.
The agreement is scheduled for Dallas City Council approval on Dec. 9.
