2020-2021 Wrangler Team Captains are Lydia Louder & Ryan Lucas, Lauren Spurr & Dixon Ponce, Sally Jacobs & Dylan Kirkpatrick.

For the first time in their 28-year history, the Wildcat Wranglers will come out of the stands and onto the turf tonight to perform at halftime of the Lake Highlands High School football game. The Wranglers, who flip, fly and twirl in their show-stopping country swing dance routines, double as football players, cheerleaders, Bell Boys, Highlandettes and band members. Don’t’ be surprised if some barely have time to slip on their cowboy boots and Stetsons before dancing to Granger Smith in their various other uniforms.

Friday night’s matchup against J.J. Pearce was a hot ticket long before the Wranglers planned their history-making performance. The Cats are 5-0 for the first time in decades after defeating Jesuit 34-31 at last Friday’s Homecoming game. Tickets are sold out.

If you can’t scrounge a ticket to the game, you can watch the Wranglers perform at the Dallas Arboretum Sunday or at Taco Diner next Wednesday. They’ll dance among the flowers at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 and charm diners at the Lake Highlands Town Center restaurant at 7 p.m. on Nov. 11. Taco Diner will kick back a percentage of sales when you dine in, take out or eat on the patio from 5-11. Go Cats!
