Maggie Moseley and Drew Harris were named Homecoming Queen and King

Lake Highlands High stands tall at 5-0 after defeating Jesuit in last night’s Homecoming game. The Wildcats jumped out to 10-0 lead in the first quarter and ended the game with a 34-31 win.

Quarterback Mitch Coulson threw 3 touchdowns to 3 different receivers and punched in an additional TD on the ground. Noelle Whitehead had 173 yards rushing and receiving. Will Faris kicked two field goals.

Before kickoff, former LHHS student, coach and principal Dr. Bob Iden was on the field to help crown Drew Harris and Maggie Moseley Homecoming King and Queen. The two have been friends since Kindergarten at Merriman Park, and their moms, Kristen Eliason Harris and Amy Smith Moseley, are both LHHS alums. Moseley dances with the Highlandettes and the Wranglers, and Harris plays on the drumline with the Wildcat Band.

Next week’s game at Wildcat Stadium is against J.J. Pearce, the toughest competitor remaining on LHHS’ District 7-6A schedule. The Mustangs could create a 3-way tie for first place and leave the district in chaos with a win. Go Cats.
