It’s official. Ryan Berg is on Team Gwen after appearing on The Voice last night.
Poor John Legend. As Ryan Berg came out of the shadows last night on NBC’s “The Voice” singing John Mayer’s “Waiting on the World to Change,” the recording star and judge turned his chair to indicate he wanted Berg on Team Legend. He was clearly impressed by Berg’s performance. Then Legend saw the red lights. Competing judge Gwen Stefani had him blocked.
Berg looked far less comfortable discussing Stefani and Legend’s tactics to win the game than he had while performing for the world-famous musicians. Of course, the 2011 graduate of Lake Highlands High has had plenty of practice singing and playing his guitar at Dallas hotspots like The Rustic, Barley House and The Goat.
In the end, Stefani reveled in adding Berg to her team and promised good things for future phases of the competition. You can catch the action when Season 19 continues Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC. You can watch Berg’s performance below.
