Orchid Giving Circle, a group out of Texas Women’s Foundation, held a virtual grantee celebration Oct. 16. The group generates grants to support social change and services benefitting North Texas’ Asian community.

Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation, Mosaic Family Services Inc., Literacy Achieves and Heart House received grant funding.

“We are honored to serve the North Texas Asian community alongside other women’s giving circles who focus on communities of color that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic,” said Orchid Giving Circle Chair Cynthia Yung in an Oct. 26 release. “Now more than ever, our collective efforts to provide grants that directly support our most vulnerable communities is crucial.”

The foundation’s African American giving circle plans to distribute grants in November.
