Ford was found in Mesquite after a brief car chase, and he was shot by an officer during his arrest. He was taken to a hospital for treatment where he’s in stable condition.

He will be charged with murder. Police said Ford was recently released from jail after posting bond on an aggravated assault charge following a domestic violence incident involving the couple in July. Ford was indicted on the charge in late August, and court documents that he hit McChriston with his hand and cut her with a machete, according to Dallas News.
