Guilherme Marinho, Priscilla Beltran and Oluwagbotemi “Joseph” Ogunbadewa
Three Lake Highlands High students have been honored as “20 Under 20” by the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. The award is part of the Global Young Leaders Program and was created in 2016 to recognize exceptional high school students who consistently give back to their communities and exemplify what it means to be a global citizen.
Priscilla Beltran and Guilherme Marinho are graduating seniors at LHHS and Oluwagbotemi “Joseph” Ogunbadewa is finishing his junior year.
The students are active in the LHHS chapter in the Junior World Affairs Council and were nominated by the club’s sponsor, Maria Viera-Williams. Today, Viera-Williams announced that LHHS has been named #1 high school chapter in the DFW metroplex for participation during the 2019-20 school year.
