Lake Highlands High School senior Preston Lawrence has received the Dr. Bob Iden Award. Previously called the Outstanding Character Award, the honor was renamed upon Dr. Iden’s retirement as LHHS principal in 2008.
Dr. Iden, on campus with fellow LHHS Class of 1970 reunion committee members, presented the award to Lawrence as part of his classmates’ salute to the graduates of 2020. The award goes annually to a senior who embodies responsibility, respect, trustworthiness, caring, citizenship and fairness, said Kerri Jones, who recently finished her first year as principal at the school.
Lawrence will play basketball at Rogers State University in the fall and major in sports marketing.
