Father Josef of St. Patrick’s retires from administration after 13 years

Father Josef Vollmer-König of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church announced his retirement from administration this weekend.

Fr. Josef said he will continue to serve as a priest but it taking time to spend with family. We wrote about Fr. Josef in 2013, and his unlikely journey to priesthood and ending up in Lake Highlands.

“God is a mystery. There is more than I can ever imagine. When do you stop learning? Never,” he said.

He joined St. Patrick’s in 2007, when he was 70.
