The task force will develop a recovery plan for restaurants that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.

Washburne, co-owner of M Crowd Restaurant Group, is accompanied by big names such as McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and Chic-fil-A.

Trump announced he would join his Great American Economic Revival Industry Group for the food and beverage industry in a press release from the White House.

Along with the food and beverage industry, there are several task forces including sports, retail, tech and many others.

“The health and wealth of America is the primary goal, and these groups will produce a more independent, self-sufficient, and resilient Nation,” states the press release.

This isn’t Washburne’s first call from the president. In 2017, Washburne was chosen to lead the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and in 2019, appointed to the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, according to Eater.
