Voters who showed up to their local polling location at Lake Highlands Junior High on election day found that it was closed.

They were directed to the two closest polling locations, Lake Highlands Elementary and Bethany Lutheran Church, where their votes were counted.

The Dallas County Republican Party posted on Facebook that the election judge assigned to the polling location didn’t show up to work that day.

“We have confirmed that there is no medical emergency, and we have been given no reason as to why our own Republican judge refused to open the polling location in the morning,” Chairman Rodney Anderson wrote in the post.

There were many reports of long lines, broken machines and other voting complications across Dallas and Tarrant counties on Super Tuesday.
