A 50-year-old man was shot Friday night at the Villas at La Risa apartment complex, according to NBC.
Officers responded around 10 p.m. to the apartment complex in the 12800 block of Jupiter Road, where they found Rogelio Martinez-Garcia with a gunshot wound. Martinez was taking out the trash for his nighttime routine.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he died. He left behind a wife, six step-children and 13 grandchildren.
The family’s raising money to bury Martinez through GoFundMe.
