Owner Dan Barbara moved his 504 Bar & Grill from lower Greenville, where game day and fight night often drew a line out the door.

“At the old place we had 3,400 square feet and people sometimes had to wait to get in,” Barbara says. “Here, we have 5,600 feet and capacity for 235 people.”

Barbara hopes to bring loyal customers from the East Dallas location and attract new followers from Lake Highlands – a neighborhood that loves their sports, he says. Yogi’s has 36 TVs viewable from every spot in the house, including all 45 seats at the bar. He wants to recreate 504’s “community hangout” feel, with shuffleboard, darts, pool, poker, live music on stage, trivia night, movie night and other events.

Of course, with so many things to do, you’ll get hungry.

“Oh man, our food is excellent,” says Barbara. “Head chef Abraham Mendoza is pumping out top-of-the-line appetizers, and our Buffalo wings are the best in Dallas. We’ve added some new entrees like enchiladas and flautas, and we have our signature street tacos. No one has better Mexican food than we do, plus we have fish, vegan and gluten-free for people eating healthy. Our menu will be attractive whether you’re bringing your girlfriend or wife, or you’re coming for hours to watch all the games.”

You can view Yogi’s menu here. The brunch menu, featuring Eggs Benedict, huevos rancheros, breakfast burritos and chicken & waffles is served from 10-3. In addition to tables and the big center bar, patio seating accommodates 24 for mild weather days (and Sundays when you just can’t bear to watch the Patriots win again.)

Yogi’s is family-friendly and welcomes an after-church crowd or youth teams post-game, but the vibe changes about 7 each night to adults-only. The sports bar opens at 10 a.m. 7 days a week and closes at midnight weekdays and a 2 a.m. Thursday thru Saturday. Yogi’s is located at 6770 Abrams Road next to Alamo Drafthouse.
