“Our little elves decked many halls, decorated eight trees, 10 nurses stations, 140 resident doors with lots of hand-made crafts and decor, passed out lots of cards, some cookies, and lots of love,” said Lowry Manders, Lake Highlands Girl Scout troop leader.

The girl scouts gifted the memory care residents with blankets, house slippers, and pajamas. A young pianist and violinist shared their musical talents with the residents.

Many of the decorations were created on several crafting Saturdays during the fall when the girls collaborated with residents in the activity room, making ornaments together. The young decorators earned a “Christmas Elf” patch.
