Neighborhood rockstar St. Vincent, Annie Clark, is debuting her new film at the Sundance Film Festival 2020, according to NME.
The Nowhere Inn is a documentary-style film that follows Clark.
Clark and Portlandia’s Carrie Brownstein wrote the script, and Clark refers to Brownstein as her best friend in an Instagram post.
“When St. Vincent sets out to make a documentary about her music, the goal is to both reveal and revel in the unadorned truth behind her on-stage persona. But when she hires a close friend to direct, notions of reality, identity, and authenticity grow increasingly distorted and bizarre,” according to a Sundance synopsis.
Sundance Film Festival runs from Thursday, Jan 23 to Sunday, Feb 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
