White Rock Que may be about three weeks away, but there are only 150 tickets left to our neighborhood’s biggest barbecue. Neighbors who want to get their tickets on the cheap should buy before May 1st when the ticket prices increase by $5.

Head to Oak Highlands Brewery for a sample of your favorite local beers, which pair perfectly with all-you-can-eat barbecue. Listen to live music and rub elbows with your neighbors as you squabble over who should take home the coveted “People’s Choice Award.”

The Advocate covered the history of the White Rock Que back in 2016. While the event is and always has been a great way to get to know your neighbors and build that sense of community in our neighborhood, in the past few years the event has also raised a lot of money for DARCC (Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center).
